In Istanbul it’s time to shop! The Turkey capital town has transformed itself into a big open-air market from the middle of december to the end of the year.
Excellent addresses where shopping is a sweet activity, great fun for your mind with traditional products close to marvelous amenities. Istanbul is always the ideal place for fashion victims. This fascinating metropolis is organizing Shopping Paradise Istanbul 2009, between November 15 and December 31.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Festival is organized by the Chamber of Commerce in Istanbul (ITO), Municipality of Istanbul, Trade Council of Shopping Centers and Retailers (AMPD), Association of Joint Brands (BMD ), Turkish Airlines (THY), SunExpress, Istanbul Atatürk International Airport (HST), Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) and Touristic Hotels and Investors Association (TÜROB).
During the Shopping Paradise Istanbul 2009 days, city will offer great discounts up to 50% of the normal prices. In these recent years many international visitors came to Turkey, just to find excellent gifts and surprises in all the shops involved in the initiative.
Besides the great and famous İstinyepark shopping centers, Kanyon, Metrocity, Akmerkez, Carousel, Olivium, Profile, Gallery, Tepe Nautilus, Capitol, Fly Inn and Carrefour, will participate in the festival with special offers and discounted rates with special threatments for shops, restaurants , museums, galleries, night clubs, beauty center and jewelers.
In order to facilitate airplane gift transportations for tourists, Turkish Airlines and Sun Express Airlines will apply special rates on excess baggage during the duration of the Festival.
Information stands will be opened at the Ataturk and Sabiha Gökçen International Airports and at the Sultanahmet Square, Taksim and Kadıköy. At these stands will be provided free guides, maps with list of all participating merchants, discounts and other related activities.
During the festival there will be a big program of initiatives in all the stores involved as well as in Taksim Square and Kadıköy. Exhibitions, street theater, dance performances, children’s activities, concerts, meetings with famous personalities and events devoted to entertain tourists who came to Istanbul to enjoy the fun of shopping in a magic city.
